Target Research Online and Purchase Offline

While the concept of consumers researching online to purchase offline is not new, there are strategies a business can implement to increase sales from them.

E-commerce businesses should be aware of the propensity for consumers to use the internet solely for comparing prices, reading reviews and researching product information. These consumers are not interested in purchasing online because they may want to view the item up close, need the product sooner than shipping would allow, want to avoid shipping fees and may not be comfortable with using a credit card online.
