2012: The Year to Carve Out a Separate Mobile Ad Budget

Last year at this time as mobile advertising gained traction, budgets for this medium noticeable increased - so much so that a few firms contemplated carving out a separate budget for mobile for the following year. At some point during 2011, though, doubts began to set in whether there was enough demand available to support this format, voiced most noticeably by Pandora’s CEO. Now the pendulum has swung again in the direction of explosive mobile growth, with new statistical support for the case of a separate mobile budget.
