Grocery Shopping Goes Online - Retailing 360

An analysis of how online grocery shopping trends are catching on in India and the future of this novel service.

In its very first edition, the State of Online Grocery Shopping (SOGS) Report: India, focuses on and highlights specific trends around the behavior of Indian shoppers when they shop for groceries and essentials online. The report is based on the actual purchase patterns of CPG/FMCG brands that are listed on AaramShop in 29 different product categories. AaramShop is a retail platform that enables sales of FMCG brands to busy consumers by leveraging the strengths of local kirana or mom-&-pop stores. It enables stores to have a web-based storefront to better connect with existing and potential customers, thus combining brands, consumers and the local vendor.
