Why the retail window of the future is mobile.

Retail is being disrupted by mobile everywhere: Consumers have more power as a result of the connected devices they carry in their pockets and the tablets they use on the couch. Prices are coming down, inventory is unlimited and companies are putting more and more resources into mobile.

As this entire industry presses forward in mobile, Buy.com, a pure-play digital commerce company with over 12 million products in inventory, has been silently building up an arsenal of mobile clout – including parent company Rakuten’s buy of tablet company Kobo this past year.

Neel Grover, President & CEO of Buy.com is in the middle of this transition and discusses his company’s mobile strategy, the impact it has had on their business, where Buy.com is heading and what opportunities he sees in this space going forward.
