Two of three women (68%) shop for deals because they want to, not because they have to, says an exclusive survey of 2,600 women between the ages of 21-59. The survey was conducted by Time Inc,’s ALL YOU, a shopping magazine.
The weak economy, rising consumer debt, and the growth of tech tools have contributed to the rise of the smart shopping movement, according to the publisher. Findings for the survey revealed how big this movement is:
- Nine of 10 women in America consider themselves to be smart shoppers
- Nine of ten (90%) admit that if they became a millionaire tomorrow, they would still hunt to deals
- Most women survey (88%) say getting a bargain is worth bragging about.
